Understanding importance

I don't know what to say and as I most probably won't say much, I'll put past written poems up just so this blog remains unforgotten....sort of...
My thoughts on poetry before i start posting previous poems /short stories.

Poetry gives meaning when no one else dooes
Others less fortunate seem more fortunate
Understanding a kid's pain at seeing fights that tear apart the two wholes that make up a whole world to a kid. It's hard until you realise it might be happening right in front of you.
Poetry gives words an importance that carries the weight of heavy burdens or immense joys, or intense grief, or [unlimited] euphorious love.

John Keats to his brother George, 1819.
"The great beauty of poetry is, that it makes every thing every place interesting."
